Can I Back Up iPhone to iCloud on Computer

1. Can I Back Up iPhone to iCloud on Computer?

Well, the answer is no, because unfortunately there isn't a function which empowers you to back up your iPhone straight to iCloud on computer. At first, it may seem like there's an option to do so, but there categorically isn't. You see, users will go through the typical method of connecting their device to their computer, opening up iTunes and trying to select iCloud as the destination.

However, once you try to progress through the procedure, you'll quickly realize that it just isn't possible. When you hit 'Back Up Now', it will send all of your data to your computer, instead of sending it to iCloud like you desired. And you just cannot back up your important data on iPhone to iCloud on computer!

Believe us, we know how frustrating it can be, but there are alternative routes that you can take to back up your iPhone to cloud storage.
2. Other Options to Backup iPhone to Cloud on Computer

So, if you want to use cloud storage on your computer, but are infuriated at the inability to use iCloud, then you can always use a different cloud service. There is abundance of them these days, and they all offer pretty much the same thing, in slightly different ways. The finest pick of the bunch is going to be the likes of Dropbox, OneDrive and Amazon Cloud Drive.

However, there's plenty of downsides to those too. Generally, they will offer you very limited storage space, which isn't beneficial if you need to backup your iPhone. Secondly, the process of using them to back up your iPhone is very complicated, which may cost you a lot of time. Oh, and if you do manage to back it up, they don't offer the chance to view the data.

Therefore, why not try an even better method?

How to Fix iTunes Error 2

"I've been trying to update iTunes with no success. I keep getting the error 2 when I try to update it and I need to update iTunes so I can restore an iTunes backup to my iPhone. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to overcome this error and get iTunes updated?"

These iTunes errors are quite common and can be quite frustrating as well especially if you need iTunes to restore a backup to your device or backup the data on the device. In this article, we will offer a number of solutions to overcome the iTunes error 2 and allow you to update this all-important program.

Note:

If you get an error code 4013, you can check this post.

If you get an error code 9, you can check this post.

If you get an error code 21, you can check this post.
6 Tips to Fix iTunes Error 2

Tip 1. Temporarily Disable Security Software

Tip 2. Run iTunes Using Administrator Account

Tip 3. Install Apple Application Support Separately

Tip 4. Update Windows

Tip 5. Reinstall iTunes Completely

Tip 6. Use iTunes Alternative
1. Temporarily Disable Security Software

Sometimes, especially if you are using Windows, the Security Software you're using may prevent iTunes from communicating with Apple Servers and hence fail to update as required. Therefore, try disabling the Security software you are using before trying again. If the software is disabled, and you are still experiencing problems, try our second solution.

2. Run iTunes Using Administrator Account

Another way to get around this error is to run iTunes using an Administrator account. First of all, make sure that you have log in to the account that is administrator. Find iTunes icon on the desktop or find it using the search feature. Then right click iTunes icon, and there will be the option "Run as administrator". Check if you are able to update iTunes now.

3. Install Apple Application Support Separately

The iTunes error 2 is often related to Apple Application Support that fails to be installed. You can try a standalone Apple Application Support install and see if it works. Here's how to do it.

Step 1: Go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and download iTunesSetup.exe installer file to your hard drive.

Step 2: Check if you have installed WinRAR. If not, just download and install it on your computer.

Step 3: Right-click on iTunesSetup.exe and choose "Extract iTunesSetup". WinRAR will expand the contents in a folder marked "iTunesSetup."

Step 4: In the folder, find and click on AppleApplicationSupport.msi to execute a standalone AAS install. Once the process is complete, iTunes will launch properly.
4. Update Windows

Sometimes the process of installing iTunes may be affected by outdated Windows OS. It may therefore be worth updating Windows before attempting to install iTunes. Here's how to do it.

Step 1: Connect your computer to the internet and then click on the "Start Menu".

Step 2: Click on "Control Panel"=> All Control Panel Items=> Windows Update.

Step 3: Click "Check for Updates". If there are updates available, click on "Install Updates" and then wait for the process to be completed. It may take a while depending on the size of updates.

5. Reinstall iTunes Completely

If none of the above solutions work for you, it maybe that iTunes itself is corrupt. In this case, you want to uninstall iTunes and all its related software components before reinstalling it. Here's how to do it.

Step 1: In the Control Panel, uninstall iTunes and its related components in the following order:

iTunes

Apple Software Update

Apple Mobile Device Support

Bonjour

Apple Application Support 32-Bit

Apple Application Support 64- Bit

Step 2: Make sure that all iTunes components have been uninstalled. There may be some left over files that you want to remove.

Press the Windows and R Key on your Keyboard and type %programfiles% in the run window. Click "OK" and delete the following folders if they exist;

iTunes

Bonjour

iPod

Next, Open the Common Files Folder and the Apple Folder and delete the following files if they exist;

Mobile Device Support

Apple Application Support

CoreFP

Step 3: If you are running 32-Bit version of Windows, Right-click on the Recycle Bin and select Empty Recycle Bin.

If you are using 42-bit version, open the Program Files on your Hard Disk and delete the following files;

iTunes

Bonjour

iPod

Mobile Device Support

Apple Application Support

CoreFP

Step 4: After all iTunes components have been deleted from your computer, restart the computer and download and install iTunes on your computer.
6. Use iTunes Alternative

If the problem persists but you still need to backup or restore your device, you can use an iTunes alternative like iMyFone D-Port Pro. The program is designed to backup and restore an iOS device in a flexible way and it is quite reliable. The following are some of the program's features.Sponsor ads:Windows Media Player Won’t Play AVI Troubleshooting

Flaws in 4G and 5G Networks Can Lead to Spying on Calls and Location

Flaws in 4G and 5G Networks Can Lead to Spying on Calls and Location

Security researchers have discovered flaws within both 4G and 5G networks that can lead to unwanted spying.

As was first reported on Monday by TechCrunch, the team discovered that nefarious individuals can take advantage of the flaw to eavesdrop on a call or track a device’s location. The issues are embedded not just within 4G (LTE) networks, but also in 5G networks as well. That means the issue won’t go away just because your phone connects to a carrier’s 5G network.

“The paper, seen by TechCrunch prior to the talk, details the attacks: the first is Torpedo, which exploits a weakness in the paging protocol that carriers use to notify a phone before a call or text message comes through. The researchers found that several phone calls placed and cancelled in a short period can trigger a paging message without alerting the target device to an incoming call, which an attacker can use to track a victim’s location. Knowing the victim’s paging occasion also lets an attacker hijack the paging channel and inject or deny paging messages, by spoofing messages like Amber alerts or blocking messages altogether, the researchers say.”

That initial attack leads to two additional attacks: “Piercer”, which “allows an attacker to determine an international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) on the 4G network”, and “IMSI-Cracking”, which “can brute force an IMSI number in both 4G and 5G networks, where IMSI numbers are encrypted”. The flaws within wireless networks mean phone calls and text messages can be intercepted by third-party devices, some called Stingrays.

The security researchers say that a fix is possible, though, and have alerted the trade group GSMA to coordinate further on security protocols moving forward. According to the research paper, these flaws are present in all U.S. service provider’s networks.

This is not the same situation as Apple’s Group FaceTime audio bug, which the company has already fixed in iOS 12.1.4. Even if the eavesdropping issue is a big one.

5 Tips to Clear up Spotify’s on iPhone 2019

5 Tips to Clear up Spotify’s on iPhone

Despite the fact that Spotify takes up a lot of space on your mobile, it is however, a very useful and addictive app. As such, rather than deleting the app completely, it is perhaps better to find ways in which you can optimize the app so that it takes up less space.

Below you will find some of the ways in which you can do so.
1. Delete and reinstall Spotify

Deleting Spotify and then reinstalling it can reduce the amount of space it has taken. This is because, once you delete the app and reinstall it, the app will download much more properly and will not produce unnecessary app caches.

In order to delete and reinstall the app on iPhone, simply go to the home screen and tap and hold on the app.

Next, tap on the “X” to delete the app.

You can then search the app in App store and reinstall it accordingly.

2. Delete your offline playlists

Deleting offline playlists can help you save a lot of space on your iPhone.

To delete offline playlists, simply tap on the playlist title that you want to remove from the offline mode and then delete the playlist accordingly.

3. Reduce your stream Quality

Reducing the streaming quality can speed up things for you significantly.

In order to do so, go to Edit -> Preferences -> Playback and then uncheck the “High Quality Playback” option.

4. Update your Spotify app

Spotify updates may be optimized for better storage and as such, keeping the app up to date is essential.

You may do so by going to About Spotify where the link to download any updates will be displayed.

5. Jailbreak your iPhone

There are various jailbreaking tools such as Yalu Jailbreak that will allow you to easily jailbreak iPhone.

SPICY UNTETHER DEMONSTRATED ON IOS 11

SPICY UNTETHER DEMONSTRATED ON IOS 11

Spicy is an upcoming untether package for iOS 11 developed by the Jake Blair development team.
It is based on a new kernel vulnerability that Apple patched in iOS 12 before Electra jailbreak gained iOS 11.4.1 support.
This untether package essentially writes a script, which fires each time you reboot, into the bootchain.
The Jake Blair development team posted the video below on their official YouTube channel.
Embedded video
Spicy untethered jailbreak for iOS 11.x demonstration. #RETWEET for visibility
While Spicy is a fully untethered jailbreak, it does have a few caveats. For instance, there’s a slight delay after the boot-up sequence while the tool runs some scripts in the background.
This results in significantly higher boot-up times as compared to stock firmware. Developers Siguza and Ben Sparkes want to speed things up but, again, no promises have been made.

FIRMWARE AND DEVICE COMPATIBILITY

As far as support goes, all iOS 11 versions are vulnerable and, therefore, all versions up till iOS 11.4.1 are compatible.
Spicy will support all devices that are capable of running the iOS 11 operating system. This means all devices including iPhone X, iPhone 8/8+, and below are supported.
The jailbreak website will utilize a WebKit exploit and the installation process of the untether package will be similar to the one used by totally not spyware jailbreak.

WEN ETA UNTETHERED JAILBREAK?

According to Siguza, the Jake Blair team plans to publicly release the tool for all devices in the near future.
But before that, they need to ensure that it is fully compatible with each device and firmware combination.
I do not know if you would reply on this tweet . I am not asking when will you release it My question is
Are you willing to release anytime in the future after you make it work without any issues ?
Because we have seen many parties show untethered and not willing to release it
Yes, we plan to release it once it runs smoothly on all devices.
Twitter Ads info and privacy
This is a monumental development, especially considering the fact that untethered jailbreaks have all but disappeared from the scene in recent years.
Some even consider untethers to be a thing of the past with all those stringent security measures Apple adds to its operating system on a regular basis.
Since a lot of users prefer a complete jailbreak experience of an untethered jailbreak, iOS 11 users will likely hold off on upgrading their Apple device to iOS 12.

Siri Will Offer Today at Apple Session Suggestions in iOS 12.2

Apple seeded the third developer beta of iOS 12.2 earlier today, and another new feature has been discovered.

Apple will make getting suggestions for potentially worthwhile Today at Apple sessions a bit easier, as long as you opt-in. In iOS 12.2, which is currently being beta tested and will see a public launch later this year, users that have the Apple Store app installed on their device will be able to turn on Siri suggestions for Today at Apple sessions. To turn it on, users will need to open Settings –> Siri & Search –> Apple Store.

Once in that setting, there will be a new option: “Find Interests in Other Apps”. If enabled, Siri will then be able to offer suggestions for Today at Apple sessions. Those suggestions will be based on an individual’s Siri usage, along with the apps installed on their devices.

If you use a particular photography app all the time, for instance, Siri could then suggest a photography-related session for you to consider. As noted in the original report following this feature’s discovery, this is simply an extension of what Apple already offers within the Apple Store app. There are already Today at Apple session suggestions there, but this expands what can be suggested in a big way.

In related news, Apple officially added more than 50 new sessions for Today at Apple. At the time, it was described in part as:

“Since the beginning, Today at Apple has been about educating and inspiring the communities we serve. These new sessions are an opportunity to unlock the creative potential in all of our customers,” said Angela Ahrendts, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail. “There is a session for everyone at Today at Apple and we can’t wait to see what you will create.”

iOS 12.2 will launch to the public soon. What do you think of this new feature? Think you’ll turn it on?
