iPhone 8 Battery Draining Fast All of a Sudden? Here’s the fix

Turning on Background App Refresh may drain the battery level.
  1. Go to Settings->General->Background App Refresh.
  2. Tap “Background App Refresh”.
  3. Select “Off” from 3 options (Off, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi & Mobile Data).
Solution 2: Hard Reset/Force Restart

  2. Press the Volume Down Button and release it.
  3. Press and hold the Side Button (Sleep/Wake) until the Apple Logo appears.
Solution 3: Check Battery consumption for Apps
  1. Launch Settings->Battery.
  2. Under “BATTERY USAGE”, you can see the battery consumption for each app. Find which one (app) makes your battery draining so fast.
Solution 4: Turn off “Auto-Brightness”
  1. Launch Settings->General->accessibility->Display Accommodations.
  2. Toggle off (turn off) Auto-Brightness.
Solution 5: Reduce the Brightness
  1. Go to Control Center.
  2. Adjust the brightness level.
Solution 6: Turn on “Low Power Mode”

  1. Go to Settings->Battery.
  2. Turn on “Low Power Mode”.
Solution 7: Check for Software Update
  1. Connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi or Cellular Data.
  2. Open Settings->General->Software Update.
  3. Tap “Download and Install” if update is available.
Solution 8: Restore your iPhone in DFU/Recovery Mode
Before doing it, take a backup. Because this action will erase all data from your device.
  1. Connect your iPhone to Mac/Computer via Lightning (USB) cable.
  2. Open iTunes on PC/Computer.
  3. Make sure that iTunes is updated to the latest version.
  4. press the Volume Up Button and release it. Then press the Volume Down Button and release it.
  5. Press and hold the Side Button (Sleep/Wake) until you see the Recovery Mode screen (iTunes screen).
  6. Select “Restore” in the pop-up box. Wait until the process is finished.
  7. After restore finishes, set up your iPhone.
Note: Don’t leave the Side Button after seeing the Apple Logo. Keep holding it until recovery mode screen appears.
Other solutions:
  1. Replace the battery.
  2. Uninstall third-party apps.
  3. Factory Reset/Restore.
  4. Check Apple warranty status. If your iPhone covers warranty, take it to the Apple Service Center.
